They Are Killing Me Slowly (Calmer Version)

G4 The gaming channel has struck again!!! I watch just one show with any real regularity. It is a show called The Screen Savers. It is a show about computers and other geeky stuff. (I admit it, I am a geek.) I love this show.

A couple of months ago, Comcast, the company that had a competing channel called G4 bought out TechTV, the station that originally aired The Screen Savers and added the TechTV shows to the G4 Lineup. Obviously there are only a limited number of hours in a day, so a number of shows had to go. Luckily, the best show on either of the channels, The Screen Savers, was kept. We lost two really good hosts but for the most part, the new version of TSS was pretty much intact, and they were doing some really new and fun things. I was just starting to like it.

A few minutes ago, I just heard that G4TechTV has fired Alex Albrecht, Yoshi, and Dan, three guys from TSS who I really liked. Alex was the new co-host, and he was really funny. I didn't know if I was going to like him, but over time I was really starting to like him. Now, he is gone!

Yoshi, the mad modder, was a guy who would do projects and then show them off on the show. He would modify something, most the time a computer, and then tell how he did it. They were called mods. Now, he is gone!

Dan was kind of a cult figure. He didn't do much because he could never master speaking on TV. When he read the tele-prompter, he was halting and sort of hard to listen to, but he is big friends with Kevin Rose and has been a big part of the TSS family for a long time now. Now, he is gone!

I am in shock and mourning! I do not understand g4... there are a number of klunker shows that were a part of the G4 line up that SHOULD get the axe, and instead, they are destroying the only show that is worth a flip.
