The Clothesline Fair

Every Labor Day weekend there is a Arts & Crafts fair that comes to Northwest Arkansas called the Clothesline fair. I don't know how long it has been in existence, but it definitely has been around for as long as I can remember.

I hadn't been a long time and Mom said we ought to go, and we did. I took the iRiver with me to do a sound-seeing tour. If you don't know what that is, it's where you take a sound recording device and walk around something and explain what you are seeing. (Sounds dumb and boring doesn't it?) Well, you can make that determination when I post it to my podcast sometime this week.

The Clothesline fair is held at the Prairie Grove Battlefield park. It is a really beautiful location, and the Clothesline fair was a good excuse to get outside and see the sights and sounds or Northwest Arkansas.

Now that I'm married, I hear a lot about craft fairs (mainly that big one by the mill). I'm proud to say I went for my first time last Fall and got to experience the handmade corndogs, and it was a treat. I'm not that much into crafts, but it's FANTASTIC people watching!

Maybe Blogger's next step in world domination (since Google will rule the world by 2010) will be to introduce video blogging (vigging?)
Then we could post short video clips of mullet-wearing craft shoppers. I'd be all over that!
